Spencer & Isaac

Well after finishing up this semester's finals, having to take my desktop pc to the repair shop, and having Sarah in the hospital with pneumonia, I've finally finished Spencer and Isaac's pictures! After all... I only took them almost a month ago. *sigh*
I get very sentimental when photographing Spencer and his big brother Isaac. I still remember the first time I saw them... Isaac was going into the big TWO year old room at the development center and Spencer was in the little baby car seat waiting outside the room. A few weeks later, I was blessed to have a very teeny tiny Spencer Lemons in my room at the daycare. He was such a good baby, and oh so much fun to spend time with!

I could ramble on forever, but I won't. (Yes, you can breathe a sigh of relief now) Needless to say, these two boys hold a very special place in my life and I absolutely enjoyed getting to take their pictures. Here's a few of my favorites.

Having my kids with provided for good entertainment. Matthew kept running around "chasing the bug away." Spencer and Isaac found it amusing to say the least.
I just love Isaac's expression in this picture... it's priceless.

Shalom's newborn photo shoot

I took Shalom's newborn photos this Thursday (before the storm hit!) She was pretty fussy but I think she did fantastic considering!!! I had a blast taking her pictures. Here's some of my favorites...

"Yawwwwwwwwwwnnnn!!!!"
In daddy's hands...
The tea cup is actually a planter that I found in the store... I love it and she fit so perfectly into it (and apparently she loved it because this was the only pose that she actually slept through!)

In mommy's hands....

Fields' photo shoot at the garden...

I did a photo shoot with my friend Ricky and his two kids on Monday at Fort Worth's Botanic Gardens. Here's some of my favorite shots...

Announcing the arrival of...

Baby Shalom Izabella was born on April 3rd, 2008. She weighed in at 6 pounds exactly and was 19 1/2 inches long... and I got to be there when she made her arrival into the world... with a camera in my hand! My sister was the one who delivered (they had a home birth). It was amazing and "mom" did a magnificent job, no doubt about that! I think I was more excited about Shalom actually being born than taking the pictures of my first birth experience! I learned a lot of things... and realized I've got a lot more to learn about my camera to perfect those pictures. Here's a few of my favorites...

Shalom's newborn exam... she didn't much care for that stethoscope!

She also decided to help out with all the measuring...

Daddy's first moments with his little baby girl (yes, this is definitely an "aw" moment!)

Pregnancy Photos...

Well I got my first opportunity to photograph a couple of my friends/coworkers who are pregnant. We had a blast and I definitely learned a thing or two (or ten) from the photo shoot. Here's a few of my favorites... (ok so maybe there's more than just a few!)
